simple winged eyeliner in 4 steps

this mini tutorial is something i edited, inspired by a similar picture on tumblr. it is the first tutorial i've done and i hope you guys like it!
drawing wing eyeliner can elongate your eyes and make it more feline looking. it's a great look for pin-ups, vintage or a night out.

what i used:
x Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner
x you can also use black eyeshadow to mattify the look and darken the eyeliner :)

there are ACTUALLY only 4 steps to achieve this look.
so the steps are..
1. line the top lid as you normally would except you'd want to draw it a bit higher (not just tight line it)
2. following your bottom waterline, draw a small angled line on the corner of your lid
3. now connect the angled line to the end of line you've drawn on the top lid
4. fill in the gaps... and you're done!

starry starry night 星空

effortlessly balanced between fantasy and reality, Tom Lin returns with another beautiful film.
China's Josie Xu plays a 13 year old Xiao Mei, the only child of a distancing family. She finds herself distressed at home from all the fight between her family and unable to connect with schoolmates, Mei turns to her grandfather for comfort and his wooden toys that keep her company. When Jay (Eric Lin), a new transfer student is put into her class, his quietness trigger's Mei's curiosity. Their friendship buds and flourishes between the two lonely souls with a stressful family background. Mei finds happiness through their new friendship when her grandfather passes away and her parents announce their divorce. The two plan an escape from their family and little did they know, this adventure sparked loved between the two young, innocent spirits.

this movie boasts with skillful cinematography and beautiful background music to compose an extraordinary film of growing up and loss of innocence from a young teenage girl's perspective.
this film is a must watch for all ages and even with your loved ones and best friends.

we're all just trying to chase happiness butterfly

"Happiness comes in many forms -- in the company of good friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else's dream come true, or in the promise of hope renewed. It's okay to let yourself be happy because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be."

tick tick tick

this shit is so confusing. you tell her that you're not close to anyone yet i'm here thinking i was close to you.. wtf? what are friends seriously? why is everything so confusing. are you telling the truth or not? i'm not sure.. i think i've lost trust in you because you seem to be close to everyone than i thought. can no one be trusted but myself?

breakfast.

starting the day off with the typical asian instant noodle MI GORENG (because there was no more rice left for me to cook something). but nevertheless, lovely breakfast with mi goreng and grass jelly drink to kick start the day.

cigarette burns.

there's nothing such as a best friend because in the end as you both grow older, they'll just find someone else and leave you before you know it.

vaseline lip therapy vs maybelline baby lips quick review

recently i've tried out two different lip products to hydrate my lips for the spring as the sun was coming out so i needed something to protect it. The two lip products i got my hands on were Maybelline Baby Lips - Menthol and Vaseline Lip Therapy SPF 15

i'll start of with Maybelline Baby Lips in Menthol 01

claims:
the Baby Lips range comes in four unique formulas and fragrances with added SPF 20 (yes!) to give you baby soft lips. Each formula has its different properties and botanical cellular repair concentrate to moisturise lips for full 8 hours and decrease fine lines.

review:
when i first put the lip balm on it feels oh so refreshing with the minty cooling feel on the lips. it has a menthol scent mixed with the usual lip balm scent ( not for those who are sensitive with products with fragrance ) which i'm not very fond of. This lip balm didn't live up to my expectations as it dries out pretty quickly on the lips.. i'd say around 30 minutes - 1 hour, DEFINITELY not 8 hours. the packaging is very cute with the lime green and aqua colours which can be used by both males and females! the thing i like about it most is it gives a slight shine to my lips without it being greasy at all.

overall:
after using it, i didn't see any dramatic difference to my lips and some dead skin was still there so i still had to peel it off ( yes, i know :/ ) as opposed to the nivea hydrating lip balm. the scent is a bit distracting but once it's on the lips it just smelt like menthol minus the chemically lip balm smell :)
overall i'd give it a 4.5/10

next up is the vaseline lip therapy SPF15

claims:
this little product claims to protect and moisturise lips from the sun's harmful rays with its SPF 15. the other catch is the travel size retro look tin that fits easily into any pocket and bag to take anywhere. it also includes shea butter.

review:
lets talk about the packaging. the first time i tried opening this metal tin, it took me forever until i gave it to my friend with smaller hands and she opened it like a boss (hahaa). you have to be careful everytime you close the tin, you don't have petroleum jelly fingers or it will grease up the tin and make it very VERY hard to open. make sure the side of the tin is clean as well. ok, now to the product. when you undo the lid, there lies a super smooth, mint surface which is very refreshing to see. the texture is very smooth but not super greasy and slides onto your lips in ease. when you apply the product, you can feel it nourishing your lips already and it WILL leave your lips very smooth and hydrated. vaseline lip therapy is also good for those who are sensitive to fragrant products.. there is only a faint petroleum jelly smell but that's only if you sniff hard :)

overall:
i was really impressed with this product! it left my lips really soft and smooth overnight and does what it claimed to do. the only downfall is the metal tin is really REALLY annoying to take off and it could be unhygienic to some.
i'd give it a 8.5/10 (just because i don't like the packaging)
